Roundel Spout Limestone Wall Fountain with a Long Trough

A heavy stepped cornice caps the coursed ashlar backplate of this reclaimed limestone wall fountain, and a shallow roundel is carved into the centre course to seat a large iron scroll spout. The blocks have weathered unevenly to warm pink, grey and buff, so the wall reads as a patchwork of tones rather than one flat colour. The long rectangular trough beneath is cut from a single block and carries thick green moss and ochre staining down its front face. Suited to courtyards, terraces, pool environments and Mediterranean style landscapes.
