Figural Relief Limestone Wall Fountain

A single limestone slab with canted top corners forms the whole backplate of this reclaimed wall fountain, carved in relief with a standing robed figure pouring from a vessel, the drapery cut in deep parallel folds that still read clearly despite the wear across the face of the stone. The spout opens at the vessel. Green grey lichen and ochre have settled into the recesses of the carving. Below it sits a heavy semicircular basin cut from one block with a softly rounded outer wall. Suited to courtyard walls, estate gardens and interior entrance halls.
