Palmette Crest Limestone Wall Fountain with a Lion Mask

Photographed installed against a painted brick house wall, this reclaimed limestone wall fountain shows how little height the type needs in order to hold an elevation. An arched crest carved with a central palmette and scrolled foliage caps a plain backplate that turns into rolled volutes at its lower corners, and a lion mask set in a raised square panel carries the spout. The canted apron basin is moulded at the coping. Clipped boxwood and ferns are planted tight against the stone. Suited to house walls, courtyards, terraces and garden borders.
